| Chandlers in Alabama - Rosemary Hardin is looking into Chandlers in Alabama. She is interested in Joseph B. Chandler, born Oct 7,1892, and his parents, William Joseph Chandler and Susan A Brooks Chandler. William Joseph was born in November 1852 and was on the 1900 Alabama census with his wife and children. Rosemary asks, "Does anyone know anything about this line of Chandlers?"

| The Rev. Larry's Brick Wall - Rev. Larry Chandler of Rockingham, NC, has been able to take his Chandler line back only so far. Larry's father is Charles Chandler, and from there the line goes John > William > Benjamin > Leroy. He has a marriage certificate showing Leroy Chandler as the father of Benjamin Chandler. They were from Caroline County, Virginia. There was a Leroy Chandler in that county who was married twice - to Elouise Copeland and Sarah Quarles. Benjamin was born in 1824, in between the two marriages of this Leroy. The marriage license gives Benjamin's mother's name as Frances, no maiden name, leaving Larry beating on a brick wall.
